Good afternoon we are with Sterling Philips on Coten End at Warwick in Warwickshire.

We are here to fix a Dell Dimension computer that the customer has reported as not working, the fault here is that the computer powers up and then freezes on the BIOS screen.

After some investigation we discover that the USB ports on the front of the machine have some how been damaged so we open the computer up and disconnect the ports so to prevent more damage occurring through accidental use, this has got the customer up and running and after a brief check found the main screen was blurry this was found to be an incorrect resolution set and adjusted the screen settings accordingly

also in the office the customer had another Computer with 3 Monitor screens attached but only 2 working, after changing settings in the BIOS and installing the correct drivers we fixed it so that the machine has 3 monitors working.

Good afternoon, we are now with a customer near Church Street at Barford in Warwickshire, we are here to install the customers new Samsung Notebook computer , this also involves transferring data from the customer old Computer (including documents, pictures, music , Etc) and installing Microsoft Office, antivirus and email Programs.

We are now back in Warwick with a customer we are here to set up a Dell desktop computer that has been in storage , The wireless had an issue so we reset the drivers, TCP/IP and the Winsocks, updated the antivirus and had a fully working system

Computer security problem at Marton in Warwickshire

Good morning, We are with a customer on the High Street at Marton in Warwickshire, we have been called out to look at a Packard Bell iMedia 2326 computer that is misbehaving, the Customer has reported that this Microsoft Windows 7 installed computer is working fine in safe mode, but fails in normal mode by giving a security centre error on start up, Control Alt Delete is having no effect and the machine is locking up with out warning.

Update: This after checking the registry and start up files, we looked for malware and checked the Heat sink and Fan on the Processor we found nothing untoward on the computer, we checked the Event Log and found the error “Parity error on Device Raid Port 0”, this is a problem with the hard drive we have attempted to do a recovery on the drive and it reached 13 % before the computer locked up, this lock up is being caused by a failing hard drive.

The customer has decided to get a new computer, as this one is about 4 years old now and we will recover the data at that point.

Here we are transferring the Documents, Setting up Sage Accounts , installing a PCI parallel port card to run an Epson dot matrix printer , transferring emails and address book, generally attempting to make the new machine visually similar to the one that it’s replacing.
