The desktop computer here has Trojan viruses and malware which we removed and then updated the antivirus software.
We reset the Router to include Wireless security.
The Philips Laptop has wireless issues and a fan that is not working, We stripped the laptop, Cleaned the fan and then reassembled this solved the fan issue, Removed and reinstalled the wireless driver which gave us working wireless .
]]>Update to get the WD USB external hard drive to work here we had to also install a USB 2.0 PCI Card, It seems the ones supplied on board could not supply enough power for the drive.
]]>The computer is running Windows XP , after going through all the usual checks registry, Virus check and Malware check, we found that the cause was that there was more than one antivirus on the computer and they conflicted with each other.
]]>Update after some investigation it was found that the computers power supply was not functioning correctly so we replaced the unit and tested, We also updated the customer antivirus and firewall programs to the latest versions.
]]>Update : We managed to get it to work in the attic with a laptop and on a playstation 3 on the first floor all coming from one access point on the ground floor.
